Improving safety was the driving force behind the development of TargetLight. Losing control of a long vehicle, especially after driving for long periods of time, is a major cause of accidents even among professional drivers. Accidents caused by just a momentary lapse of concentration when passing narrow corners; obstacles or overtaking on roads costs thousands of lives every year.

TargetLight is now the solution to indicate to the driver the exact position, length and width of his vehicle at any time, especially during twilight and after dark.

The simplest concept is often the definitive answer. Using existing approved light sources and simply integrating a minor hi-tech spotlight may well be the most logical road safety enhancement concept for the new century.

This new product is robust and completely sealed and is therefore dust, grit, road spray, dirt and waterproof. As such it can be completely immersed in water (e.g. boat trailers). It was developed and road tested in Germany in wet weather, ice and snow, and in the harsh heat and diverse weather conditions of South African roads. This concept conforms to international road traffic regulations and has a worldwide patent.
